Falls from height remain one of the leading causes of workplace death and serious injury in Canada — and almost all of them are preventable. This course equips you to identify fall hazards, understand your rights and responsibilities under Canadian safety regulations, and select and inspect the right fall protection equipment. You'll explore the hierarchy of controls, distinguish prevention from protection systems, and learn how to respond to emergencies, including the risks of suspension trauma

Employers are required to identify fall hazards, provide and maintain the right fall protection systems, and ensure workers are trained before working at height. Workers, in turn, are expected to use the fall protection provided, inspect it before each use, and follow safe work procedures.

As soon as you pass the final exam, you can immediately generate your certificate. *Please note: This is a knowledge-based fall protection course. Where a jurisdiction requires an approved Working at Heights certification — such as Ontario's MLITSD-approved program — that training includes a mandatory hands-on practical component delivered in person. Confirm the requirement for your province and worksite; approved in-person training is offered separately.
